About Us

Owl Pest Control was founded in 1998 by two postgraduate students in UCD, with the view to provide an innovative approach to pest control. Passionate in pest issues they developed a service which considers three approaches: meeting the client/auditor expectations, reduce unnecessary killing/suffering of pests, and minimise impact on the environment.

Mr J. Christophe Izart is a founder member and treasurer of the Irish Pest Control Association, which introduced the first professional Pest Control courses and diploma in Ireland. Also an active Board Member of the Irish Pest Control Skillnet Project which introduced a Pest Control diploma at Cork University. Today our activities aim towards the following objectives:

  1. To provide cost-effective solutions, i.e. minimising the need for pest control treatment and callouts by developing intensive knowledge of pest strategies/behaviour. This put the focus primarily on proofing buildings to prevent pest intrusion; making food/water access to pest more difficult; and reduce pest harbourage opportunities.
  2. Develop communication at all levels with our customers to achieve maximum efficiency and satisfaction: state of the art documentation and reporting system; regular review of pest infestation trends and customer needs; all service history details available instantly on our central computer; standardised Company procedures to provide continuity in our service.
  3. Research and Development: review/test/implement/improve new technologies, pesticides, alternative solutions. Develop knowledge networks throughout the Pest Control industry in Ireland and internationally.
